Abstract

The article describes the socio-psychological characteristics of women actively manifesting themselves in the anti-feminist Internet communities. 85 members of the community were interviewed and 55 life stories of women in the large anti-feminist Internet community of Russia were analyzed. Methods of diagnostics of social and psychological adaptation of Rogers-diamond, the questionnaire “career Anchor”, the scale of measurement of optimism and activity, content analysis and the author’s questionnaire were used. Data processing was carried out using the following mathematical and statistical methods: U-Mann-Whitney test, one-factor analysis of variance (ANOVA), correlation analysis using Spearman coefficient. Active participation in the Internet community is associated with the peculiarities of women’s life, intrapersonal role conflict and a decrease in the overall professional motivation. Traditional gender perceptions and sterotyping remain important regulators of the social behavior of members of the studied community and can be considered as a positive factor of gender identity, femininity and special career motivation.
