Abstract
The monograph considers the scientific justification and methods for the formation of a representative system of environmental monitoring of atmospheric air in a large city in the conditions of urban development of populated areas, taking into account the complex impact of all major sources of pollution. Particular attention is paid to assessing the changing conditions of the urban environment, taking into account planning features, the level of improvement, new construction and demolition facilities, and the wind regime when planning an atmospheric air observation network. A mechanism for categorizing territories according to the degree of environmental well-being based on the results of monitoring and an algorithm of action for the safe placement of construction objects are given.
