Abstract
The direct cutting-out method, developed earlier, was extended to the class of plane problems of the elasticity theory for bodies with cracks. The basis of the method consists in modeling the initial problem for a body with thin inhomogeneities, using the problem of elastic equilibrium of a body with simpler geometric shape and an increased number of finite defects, which form the boundaries of the investigated body. The reliability, accuracy, and effectiveness of the proposed approach were analyzed on examples of studying the problems of elastic equilibrium of a half-plane, a strip and a wedge with a crack under the action of a symmetric load.
