Abstract
Antineoplaston A 10 (3-phenylacetylamino-2, 6-piperidinedione) is a modified dipeptide analogue originally isolated from extracts of human urine. Antineoplastic effect of antineoplaston A 10 was tested in tissue culture of osteosarcoma. Antineoplaston A 10 produced a cytostatic effect at 16mg/ml and a cytocidal effect at 32mg/ml. Antineoplaston A 10 is virtually devoid of toxicity even at very high dosages and does not appear to attack normal cells. It is very attractive as an new agent for chemotherapy of osteosarcoma.
