Abstract

Introduction: The issue of children's misplaced supplements of use for the requirement required by the application and users. Purpose of the research: The purpose of this research is to study abuse in preschool mainly (infant) age and the need for the presence of the Social Worker in the school context of kindergarten. Method: The research on the phenomenon of child abuse was carried out with the method of bibliographic review, with the search of the relevant Greek and English literature. Results: The search resulted in 58 bibliographic references, during the period 2010-2020, that met the predefined criteria. Through the search of the literature it was found that child abuse has negative effects on the physical and emotional health of children. The social worker with his presence can significantly contribute to the prevention and information of the school community on issues of abuse against students. The cooperation of the social worker with the teacher can create a strong precautionary link to protect the rights of children and the school. Discussion: Significant progress has been made in law, policy and practice in many areas for greater recognition of the right of children to express their views. Many of children around the world continue to be deprived of the opportunity to enjoy a sense of security and trust, but also of confidentiality, to speak of violence or abuse both in their own lives and in the lives of those around them. Future research is needed to provide information on the process of identifying abuse and the proper treatment-intervention. Professional educators and those working in the school community should be particularly aware of the issue of abuse, thus paying close attention to the child's body and behavior.
