Межэтнические взаимодействия на Юге России как предмет научных исследований

Abstract

The article deals with interethnic interaction in the South Russian regions as a subject of various disciplinary research practices. The researchers focus primarily on such issues as the peculiarities of the ethno-political situation in the South of Russia, constructive and destructive factors affecting its dynamics, factors of interethnic tension and conflict in regional communities, the impact of migration flows on interethnic relations, the activities of public authorities, civil and ethnic organizations, ethnic diasporas in the sphere of interethnic relations, institutional practices related to the regulation of interethnic relations and the resolution of interethnic conflicts, prevention of nationalism and xenophobia. A critical analysis of the scientific literature on interethnic interactions in the South of Russia shows that despite the progress made in the study of these issues, interethnic relations as a holistic ethno-national reality still needs conceptual understanding. This should be facilitated by the development of multi-dimensional methodological constructs of interdisciplinary scientific research of interethnic interactions in regional communities in the South of Russia.
