Abstract

The results of long-term and long-term studies of the Buryat Research Institute of Agriculture showed that grain crops are inferior in agro-economic assessment to the cultivation of the trailing fodder crop. This circumstance predetermines the adjustment of existing crop rotation schemes towards the feed wedge. Spring rye should be considered as a guarantor of the stability of the development of agricultural production in arid agriculture in the region. Obtaining a profitable forage crop yield when using fertilizers must be planned based on the state of soil moisture and the medium-term moisture forecast.
