Abstract

This paper deals with the leadership style of school leaders. Initially, the work refers to the concept of school leadership and the concept of effective principal as an educational leader. The following are the leadership styles of school principals and the concept of school climate. The following is a reference to leadership style and school climate, leadership style and teacher performance and the factors that influence leadership in educational administration / leadership. The theoretical part concludes with a reference to the school climate and the efficiency of teachers. In the second part of the work, a primary qualitative research is carried out in order to investigate how the work environment affects the leadership style applied by the school principal and whether the leadership style in turn is related to the performance of teachers. In particular, an attempt was made to examine whether the current school climate influences the adoption of a similar leadership style by the principals of Primary Education and, secondarily, to examine whether and to what extent there is a correlation between the style practiced by principals and teachers' efficiency.
