Abstract

This paper was to testify effects of agro-healing activity on stress coping and job satisfaction in elderly care givers. This study is Non-equivalence control pre-post design. 22 caregivers were selected to the subject, then equivalently assigned to the experiment group and the control group. The experiment group was treated for one hour once a day, totally 7 sessions with the Agro-healing activity of the subject ‘Joy of Harvest’. As a result, first, it showed significantly correlation between active stress coping and passive stress coping. Second, job stress was significantly decreased. Third, while active coping behavior was more frequently sought, passive coping was less frequently, Finally, job satisfaction was increased. Therefore, agro-healing activity is useful to increase the ability of stress coping and job satisfaction in elderly caregivers vulnerable to stress.
