Abstract

The objective: was to study the effects of Androferol over 90 days on the dynamics of spermatic parameters in men with excretory-toxic and idiopathic infertility. Materials and methods. In order to study the clinical efficacy of Androferol on the basis of the andrological department of the Kharkiv Regional Center for Urology and Nephrology, 43 patients with infertility aged 1 to 6 years were examined. Age of patients – from 26 to 34 years. Of these, 34 patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of male genital organs who had undergone a primary course of treatment for the underlying disease and undergoing remission of the inflammatory process, and 9 men with idiopathic infertility. Andrological status was studied according to the well-known technique. Results. During the study of ejaculate 3 months after the end of the drug, improvements in most indicators of spermogram were noted; the total number of sperm, the increase in both general mobility and active forms, an increase in the number of live sperm and a decrease in the number of pathological forms. Before treatment, the parameters of pathospermia were found in 43 (100%) patients. Three months after the end of treatment, they were diagnosed in 6 (13.9%). Thus, the effectiveness of treatment was 86.1%. Conclusion. Throughout the course of treatment, the drug Androferol was well tolerated. Side effects were not detected during the use of the drug. The obtained results allow to recommend the drug Androferol for the complex treatment of idiopathic and excretory-toxic infertility in patients with chronic non-specific diseases of male genital organs in the stage of remission.
