Abstract

Worldwidely most of the causes of forest fires are caused by human unintentional mistakes and negligence. As the forest fire prevention education, interest in forest fire risk prevention activities can be strengthened, and social costs related to forest fire risks can be reduced by the regular education and learning. In this study, the actual state of forest fire prevention education in domestic elementary and secondary schools was investigated and a learning guide plan for education that could be implemented. As the result, it is necessary to carry out regular forest fire prevention education in regular curriculum to raise awareness about the importance of forests and to protect them from forest fires. In addition, by preventing the causative behavior that threatens forest fires in advance, it is considered that it will contribute to reducing the risk of forest fires caused by unintentional mistakes and carelessness in future generations.
