Abstract

The Historical Document is the original source on which the Historian relies on historical information and is divided into two parts: official and non-official. Historical documents are generally contemporary documents of the date in which they are written, such as letters from the State Center to the states and territories of the central government , Letters from these territories, publications, records, court judgments, opinions, treaties and personal memos, then the historical document is all that is produced by the institutions, government agencies and people from papers that are preserved for their importance in the political field And the economic, social, cultural and legal, and is a fertile area in which the historian is recording history, but the person who writes is the maker of historical events, the historian in his writings rely on them to verify the validity of the written opinions and emphasizes the ambiguity, so that others can see the events Historical. In order to make use of the historical document, the historian is required to read the language of the document and to validate it and verify it after learning the way it was written in the era referred to and the method used in writing and the terms used at the time, since each document has its extension in the past. Personal impressions or emotions, but dating based on the documents where the historian to convert the document from a static material to a speech material of life and events through criticism and analysis. These documents make history, the historian can study any subject only after making sure the availability of documents that highlight the fact of historical events, and perhaps the search for these documents is difficult but the first step in the method of historical research, and when the historian finds his documents open before him doors And new horizons enabling him to view and discuss all different opinions and to express his opinion on the subject of the study.
