Abstract
The authors developed a new system of automatic gas pressure welding to improve the quality and reliability of gas pressure welds, and reported on the system and apparatus in the preceding paper (Part 1). The present paper is to relate the results of welding experiments to settle proper conditions for automatic welding, that is, the process of welding, influences of welding conditions as well as properties of automatically welded joints. The materials used in this experiment are the largest deformed bars specified in JIS (51 m/m dia.).Joints by this automatic gas pressure wleding showed satisfactory properties and assured the feasibility and reliability of this system.
