Abstract

Problem statement. Modern problems of development of territorial communities in the conditions of decentralization of power in Ukraine indicate the importance of improving municipal management in public administration, which is a particularly important issue in the theory and practice of public administration.Recent research. Scientists have paid considerable attention to the conceptual principles, tools of municipal management in public administration. However, insufficient attention is paid to defining approaches to improving municipal management in public administration in the context of decentralization of power in Ukraine.The paper objective is to substantiate the approaches to the improvement of municipal management in public administration in the conditions of decentralization of power in Ukraine.The paper main body. The municipal management in public administration in Ukraine is studied. It is determined that the needs and living conditions of the population are provided through municipal management, through which important issues of local importance are addressed. Management practice shows the need to find new approaches to municipal management in public administration in Ukraine.Conclusions of the research and prospects for further surveys. In the conditions of decentralization of power in Ukraine, the problems of development of territorial communities are becoming increasingly important. It emphasizes the importance of training specialists in municipal management, paying attention to strategic planning. It is emphasized that the strategic approach to planning the development of territorial communities is very actively implemented in Ukraine. This provides an opportunity not only to solve socio-economic, environmental problems of territorial communities, to use the potential of territorial communities for their development, but also to direct resources to their development. The variety of problems to ensure the development of territorial communities, municipal management indicate the importance and need for research of foreign experience, which requires further research.
