Abstract

Reading is an important type of speech activity that needs to be taught to foreigners at the initial stage of learning the Russian language. The use of literary texts in the process of teaching Russian to foreigners has a multifaceted nature. At the same time, the literary text acts as a source of linguistic knowledge and material for improving receptive skills in reading as a type of speech activity. Fiction is widely used in the disclosure of regional problems, aiming students at a deeper comprehension of the theoretical foundations of the culture of the country of the target language.
