Abstract

The effectiveness of six food baits containing hydramethylnon, imidacloprid, dinotefuran, acetamiprid against the German cockroach of four laboratory cultures – insecticide-susceptible S-NIID and multi-resistant MAG, CR and DM, was evaluated. A slowdown in the manifestation of symptoms of poisoning in cockroaches of resistant cultures was revealed in comparison with susceptible ones. LT95 resistance indices for bait based on hydramethylnon were 0.7–1.1?, dinotefuran – 10-?>?21?, imidacloprid – 1.2–1.6?, acetamiprid – 1.5–2.4?. By day 21, in some variants of experiments, 5?% of males of resistant cultures and 5–45?% of females survived. Keywords: German cockroach, resistance, food baits, resistance index.
