Abstract
The article deals with the description of modern approaches to the problem of defining the content. The content components of professional competence in English interaction of the teachers to be are determined. The subject aspect (linguistic content) with its professional sphere of communication, situations of communication, communicative intentions, topics, as well as the procedural aspect (experiential content) with its peculiar skills are specified.
