Abstract

Purpose. Forming a bibliographic list of rare publications and old books on the pisciculture, fishing, hydrobiology, hydrobotany, etc., which saw the light of day before 1930 and are the property of the fund of the Institute of Fisheries NAAS of Ukraine scientific library. Methods. The selective method, including with the involvement of electronic databases based on the established integrated library and information system was applied in the process of the systematic search. The bibliographic core have been formed with the scientific publications on paper and electronic media, available in the fund of scientific library of the Institute of Fisheries NAAS of Ukraine. Results. There was composed the bibliographic list of publications on fisheries and related fields of science with a total quantity of 122 sources covering the time interval from 1671 to 1930. The literary sources are arranged in alphabetical order by author or title, and described according to DSTU 8302:2015 “Information and documentation. Bibliographic reference. General principles and rules of composition”, with the amendments (code UKND 01.140.40), as well as in accordance with the requirements of APA style — international standard of references. Practical value. The list of publications may be used by scientists, practitioners, students and everyone who is interested in issues of the development of fisheries science in a historical aspect.
