Abstract

. The article presents the results of an exploratory study aimed at studying the ideas of different ethnic groups about the implementation of the principle of social justice in the fi eld of interethnic relations in the South of Russia. The purpose of the work is to analyze the semantic and instrumental understanding of social justice in the collective ideas of the regional community of the South of Russia. The article presents estimates of the population with different identification by nationality and level of trust. As a result, the conventional nature of justice as a value shared by the population of the regions of the South of Russia was established, an orientation towards an egalitarian and normative procedure for its implementation was revealed, and the dependence of ideas about the implementation of the principle of justice in interethnic relations on the type of identification by nationality and the level of confidence of the respondents was established.
