Abstract

The article discusses the theoretical basis of the ecological and economic assessment of the impact of the transport and road complex on the environment. The object of research is the impact of the transport and road complex on the environment. The purpose of the article is to analyze the methods of ecological and economic assessment of the impact of the transport and road complex on the environment. Research methods – analysis and theoretical generalization of ecological and economic assessment methods. The analysis carried out in the article proved that in modern conditions the existing methods of ecological and economic assessment of the impact of the transport and road complex on the environment need improvement. The conducted research made it possible to conclude that there are practically no methods in Ukraine that would relate to a systematic comprehensive ecological and economic assessment of the impact of the transport and road complex on the environment. Peculiarities of the organization and implementation of environmental monitoring of highways in Ukraine were studied. The documents and programs that reveal the basics of environmental monitoring of highways have been analyzed. Current methods in the road industry are developed according to the types of polluted natural resources (land, water, air). All this determines the perspective of research. The results of the article can be used as a theoretical basis for the development of methods of ecological and economic assessment and monitoring of the impact of the transport and road complex on the environment.
