Abstract

The article is devoted to analysing the China realias image in Arseniy Nesmelov’s poetry. The study focuses on the poems on three basic themes: nature, common man and national liberation movement. The author analyses in detail the originality of A. Nesmelov’s poetical world: usage of the miniature form in combination with ekphrasis (description of a drawing in a poem) typical of the English poetry, in synthesis with artistic devices of acmeism and Esenin’s colour metaphor. The researcher emphasizes the features of realism typical of A. Nesmelov’s creative work in comparison with N. Gumilyov’s “Chinese” poems.
