Abstract

Currently, due to specific circumstances, the number of poultry farms in the Leningrad Region had sharply decreased, and the incubation station has stopped selling daily young poultry to the population. The interested population of the region (private farms, summer residents, private farmsteads) had the opportunity to buy in the spring and summer the undergrown young of laying hens, the young of egg-bearing chickens and the daily young of poultry for fattening. In view of the strict provision of veterinary and sanitary welfare of industrial enterprises and incubation stations, the population was guaranteed to receive poultry that was safe for a number of infectious and parasitic diseases. This article demonstrates the disadvantage of such a disease as respiratory mycoplasmosis of poultry caused by Mycoplasma gallinosepticum. In Russia, this pathogen is found everywhere, especially in private poultry farms. In epizootological terms, the causative agent of respiratory mycoplasmosis of poultry behaves as an immunosuppressor, reducing the bird's natural resistance to such conditionally pathogenic microorganisms as E. Coli, Staphilococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. The article demonstrates the results of PCR examination of tracheal mucus and nasal discharge of birds with signs of respiratory disorders in 20 private farms of the Kirovsky district of the Leningrad region. The purpose of the article is to identify the circulation of respiratory mycoplasmosis in private poultry farms on the example of the Kirovsky district of the Leningrad region. As a result, a high circulation of Mycoplasma gallisepticum was detected in the surveyed farms.
