Abstract

The article represents the results of the analysis of grammatical peripheral means of expressing (these means are understood as infrequently encountered grammatical means of expressing causality) the cause in the German and Russian languages, which is conditioned by the insufficient knowledge of these grammatical means in the comparative-contrastive aspect. Basing on the analysis, the author concludes that in the languages under consideration the causality field includes the grammatical level means that have different potentials and express the significance of causality more precisely or in a general way.
