Abstract

An active digitalization process of the steel production is taking place in the domestic and world ferrous industry, which enables increasing the competitiveness of plants. At present there is no complete digital double of wide strip hot rolling mill in the world, speaking about complication of the task and stipulating actuality of the work in this area. The technological process and quality of the products produced are considerably influenced by a number of factors, which should be taken into consideration when elaborating a mathematical model of the rolling process at a wide strip continuous mill. At the first stage of the comprehensive studies for creation particular mathematical models evaluation of working rollers wear regularities and their heat profile variation was accomplished, as well as analysis of the factors influence on the transverse and longitudinal strip section was carried out. Collection of statistical data was done and their mathematical description was prepared. It was shown, that the description reflects the current state of the study object – working roller – close enough. The mathematical description of a working roller profile (barrel relief) variation during hot rolling will enable to take into consideration the temperature factor, influencing the profile, and to make more detailed mathematical model of the rolling process. The results of the study will be used at elaboration of a comprehensive mathematical model of wide strip hot rolling mill. It is planned to accomplish by stages particular mathematical models or mathematical description of all basic parameters and factors, influencing each stage of production chain. In future the models and descriptions will be used for elaboration of a comprehensive mathematical model of hot rolling process. Its implementation will enable to carry out the technology adjusting at the stage of a new size or grade product mastering, to discover week points in technological chain, to optimize the production modes and as a result – to increase the quality of the products.
