Abstract

The article considers artistic peculiarities of G. V. Adamovich’s memories of A. A. Akhmatova. The research material includes the memorial essay “My Meetings with Anna Akhmatova”, fragments about the poetess in the essay “Gumilyov (to the 10th anniversary of his execution)” and the article “Anna Akhmatova”. Special attention is paid to quotation and ecphrasis in the memories. It is found out that creating Akhmatova’s image the author for the first time refers to the portraits of famous painters. The analysis indicates that Adamovich referred to pictorial art to transfer the inexpressible in the poetess’s image.
