Abstract
. The relevance of the article lies in the fact that more and more attention has been paid to sustainable development goals lately. One of the issues of sustainable development is the decarbonization of industrial sectors. One of these industries is mechanical engineering. The article elaborates and substantiates the indicators of the development of the electric vehicle market. In accordance with the developed criteria, a comparison was made of the markets of two countries: Russia and Norway. The article proposes possible measures for the development of the Russian electric vehicle market, taking into account the experience of Norway. The prospects for the development of the electric vehicle market in Russia are assessed.
