Abstract

中国最早的字体是甲骨文,之后演变为金文,也称大篆,接着依次是小篆、隶书及楷书。“夏”字始见于商代,以金文呈现。本文首次从字形及字义两个方面,对“夏”字的历史沿革进行了探讨。 The most original Chinese calligraphy was the Oracle bone inscription, then, the Bronze inscrip-tion, which also known as the Great Seal script, after that, the Small Seal script, Clerical script and Regular script appeared consecutively. The character Xia first appeared in the form of bronze inscription in Shang Dynasty. This is the first academic essay that describes the evolution of the calligraphy and word meaning of the character Xia.
