Abstract

Objective of the study is to show the significance of social networks that have embraced not only all states, but also penetrated all audiences. All age and gender groups are covered by major social networks around the world. As well as to demonstrate with the help of numbers the claims of social networks on world domination and the rebuilding of the world.   The methodological basis of the research is a desk study based on the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data obtained as a result of research on social networks and services at the AKAR Research Center, as well as data obtained as a result of the analysis of numerous works of Russian and foreign sociologists on this topic. Research results. Social networks and services have already «solved the problem», which seemed unrealistic. Almost the entire population of the Earth has been repeatedly covered by social networks. Many users have multiple accounts on different social networks. Each of the 17 largest networks has a worldwide audience of more than 300 million people. The total number of users of these 17 networks is 16 billion 186 million people. Each of the 6 major social networks has over a billion followers. These 6 social networks cover 10 billion 765 million people. Of these, 7 billion 261 million is the audience of one American company Facebook Inc., it owns the social network Facebook, it owns Instagram, WhatsApp, FB Messenger and Oculus VR. It took only 16 years to prepare the traditional World for a serious social transformation that will forever change the way of life based on the traditional national-spiritual and cultural-moral identification.   Prospects of the study. The research topic is considered to be one of the most relevant areas of research in the social sciences and, above all, sociology, designed to record objective changes in the social appearance of modern society, the content characteristics of value consciousness, the peculiarities of culture and, in general, the dynamics of socio-cultural development of society. &nbsp
