Abstract

In the article, the authors consider the evolution of migration processes and define the meaning of the term migration. Migration issues are one of the most pressing in the world, it is difficult to manage, and there are many factors that affect migration. Another difficulty lies in the fact that there is neither unity in understanding its essence, nor common approaches to its study. In the study, the authors describe the classification feature of the causes of migration movements, which may include economic, political, environmental, recreational, family, ethnic, and other reasons. The article focuses on the research of Western scientists, resulting in many theories. Interest in migration issues is growing, which confirms the relevance of the chosen topic and the increasing influence of globalization processes in the world on migration processes. In conclusion, the authors come to the conclusion that there is a certain continuity in Western research - most scientists in their works rely on the experience of previous researchers, and many operate with pull and push factors.
