Abstract

Copper and the AMG-6 alloy are tested for compression using 5-mm and 10-mm spherical indenters. A testing method for determining the accuracy of constructing tensile deformation diagrams based on the results of compression tests through indenters is presented. A device for measuring the displacement of the indenter relative to the surface of a plane specimen is described. A method of compression tests of double specimens through indenters is presented. The process of hardening the surface of a cylindrical shell by mandrelling is examined; the results of a numerical and a fullscale experiments are given. Key words: tests of specimens, copper, AMG-6 alloy, spherical indenter, mandrelling, numerical and full-scale experiments, tensile deformation diagram. &nbsp
