Abstract
The article presents the perception and attitude of Russians to the epidemic, which has become the most socially acute problem after the collapse of the USSR. Based on the results of sociological research and analysis of scientific publications, the typical effects of COVID 19 on the social organization of people are identified, the General structure of behavior modification is determined, and the inconsistency and inconsistency of awareness and actions of Russians in a difficult situation is revealed. A comparative analysis of the impact of the epidemic on human behavior today and a hundred years ago is carried out. For this purpose, the results of research conducted in this area by P.
