Abstract

The relevance of the subject matter is conditioned by the lack of a regulatory framework and the fact that the procedure for the choice of collective protective equipment in production is little covered in journalism. A wide variety of collective protective equipment of employees is indicated in terms of their operation principle, constructive manufacture (according to GOST 12.4.011-89, there are 20 classes of protective equipment in this group). For this reason, in practice it can be difficult to make the right choice of protective equipment of employees in terms of its resulting effectiveness, if it is not provided for by the design of the equipment or machine. The article presents methodological approaches and considers a practical example of application of decision- making theory in the issue of alternative choice of collective protective equipment of employees from exposures to harmful and dangerous production factors according Pareto, at the same time using the development of a system of own criteria and priorities. Weighing the sum of the criteria, the employer can apply this theory in practice from the standpoint of priority of the labor protection policy, labor protection management system and specific production conditions not only in the choice of collective protective equipment, but also personal protective equipment of employees, as well as the choice between personal and collective protective equipment. The stages of the decision-making process are indicated by the example of a simple and understandable conditional situation of alternative choice of collective protective equipment of employees from industrial noise. The essence of decision-making theory application in this case fits in with the principle of a risk-based approach in the choice of protective equipment of employees from exposure to hazardous and harmful production factors. Using evaluated indicators, it is possible to quantify the highest priority alternative for collective protection.
