Abstract

Background Forced withdrawal of gas from the annular space of oil wells into a discharge line by means of different equipment is used to increase well production rate. The experience of using forced withdrawal of gas from the annular space showed that depending on the pressure drop in the annular space and geotechnical characteristics of wells the oil production rate increased from 2.7 to 4.0 t/day. Optimization of gas withdrawal from the annular space is topical for effective operation of oil wells. Aims and Objectives To study the patterns of separated gas pressure increase in the annular space depending on the field-geological characteristics of wells, and the proposal to optimize ways of gas extraction from the annular space. Methods Experimental study of separated gas pressure increase in the annular space of oil wells. Development of research lines to optimize the extraction of gas from the annular space. Conclusion Obtained patterns of separated gas pressure increase in the annular space are used during optimization and selection of equipment for gas withdrawal from the annular space of oil wells.
