Abstract

This paper provides a developmental program for use in surveys on flowering grasses in rice paddy field areas conducted in programs that include action plans for improvement of farmland, water, and environment preservation. It was shown that high SDR (Summed Dominance Ratio) herbal species were often identified by examinee, and low SDR or unremarkable herbal species before it flowered were not collected easily in the pilot survey. In addition to a uniquely-developed guidebook, programs corresponding to the attributes, number and knowledge on plants of participants were confirmed based on preliminary and posteriori surveys, thus allowing survey programs to be designed that will bring high-levels of satisfaction to participants.
