Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the essence of international monetary and credit relations, determining their place and role in the system of world economic relations based on the study of theoretical approaches to the interpretation of this multi-component term, forms of interaction between the participants in these relations, as well as building a conceptual model for positioning monetary and credit relations in the global economic system.
 The article presents the main trends in the development of monetary and credit relations in the world space, including: the transformation of international money circulation, currency globalization, currency polycentrism and regionalization, the universalization of the activity of participants in the loan capital markets and the transformation of traditional forms of credit operations, as well as the reasons that caused such changes. The article analyzes statistical data that clearly demonstrate the ongoing processes in the monetary and credit sphere, which determined the methodological tools of the study.
