Abstract
The paper discusses the prospects and problems of development of business tourism in Almaty. Almaty is one of the most beautiful cities in Kazakhstan, tourists come here all year round, both in winter and in summer, from all over the country, and also from near and far abroad. Business tourism is one of the most highly profitable industries not only in Kazakhstan, but in global tourism industry. Our research paper covers trends in business tourism development in Almaty city. Getting to know the history, fundamentals, meaning and classification of business tourism; and also the state of business tourism worldwide, in RK and in Almaty city; to identify challenges. Business tourism is a promising area, so, there is a good chance to expand the businesses, find new business partners, and meet business with pleasure and simply visit other countries.
