Abstract

In 2015~2016’s study of premodern history, that of ancient history played sufficient role, but that of Goryeo period insufficient, and the portion of the Joseon period study was too large. Considering the recent number of the theses for doctorates, this tendency shall be maintained.<BR> In 2000’s, the weight of the study of political and foreign relations history did not change particularly, but that of cultural history took a great leap, and that of economic history seriously reduced. The tendency has been kept up and the situation is same in the year of 2015 and 2016.<BR> Generally speaking, the quantity of the study of Korean history took a great leap in the 21<SUP>st</SUP> century. But the quantitative growth stopped and came to a stand-still or broke down. Now we have to find new ways to qualitative turnover. One of them is taking new methodology and communicating with the mass. Digital humanities is good one. One of the properties of history is story-telling. Considering the historical study of the West developed new cultural history by way of microhistory(microstria), digital humanities will break a path for communicating with mass as well as for satisfying the storytelling property of history.
