Abstract
The Cube Logic Puzzle is a logical puzzle developed by combining a square-shaped logic that requires logical thinking power and a polycube that is often used for space sensing. In this paper, we propose a cube logic puzzle material which combines spatial sense of three-dimensional shape and logical thinking of logic puzzle in order to experience various mathematical activities such as logical thinking and effective communication through symbolic process in solving cube logic puzzle. And to develop teaching and learning materials for elementary school gifted and talented students using puzzles. This was developed by constructing and checking teaching and learning materials in accordance with the national gifted education program standards of Lee et. al.(2017). Through the application of field application, 5 characteristics of this material as follows: document were confirmed(Curiosity and interesting material, recognition of the necessity of logical thinking, possible logical problem solving, effective communication experience, step-by-step associations, opportunity to recreate). Based on this, we propose 6 teaching activities. (Understanding puzzle method, mastering puzzle, promising symbolism, guiding to solve puzzle logically, paving for mathematical attitude, exploring puzzle considering learning level, puzzle creatively to make) Cubic logic puzzles are expected to be useful for field teachers who run gifted classes because they can experience mathematical thinking such as logical thinking, symbolization and creativity of recreation.
