Abstract

This study aims to reveal the effectiveness of the implementation of concept map strategies in the learning process on bayan science. This research is quantitative research which refers to experimental research between two groups. The population of this study was the tenth grade students of the 2018/2019 academic year, which amounted to 50 female students. The researcher took a sample of 25 female students as an experimental class and 25 female students as a control class. After holding a test for female students, researchers obtained an average score of 71.2 in the experimental class and an average score of 59.0 in the control class. This shows that the average score in the experimental class is greater than the average score in the control class. Statistical calculations show that the value t0 is 2.61 and the value of tt is 2.4, then the value t0 is greater than the value of tt indicating that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Therefore, the researchers came to the conclusion that the application of the concept map strategy in learning on bayan science in class X in the pesantren was effective.
