Abstract

This paper analyzes the current state of the normative-legal and technical regulation of geodesic and cartographic activities in the Russian Federation, including regulation by the national and industry standards and documents of the system of geodetic, cartographic instructions, regulations, and rules. The authors consider options for improving technical regulation in the field of geodesy and cartography in connection with the adoption of the 2015 Federal Laws “On standardization in the Russian Federation” and “On geodesy, cartography and spatial data and on introduction of changes into certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation”.
