Abstract

The article analyzes formation conditions and gives expressevaluation of the channel (perennial) and storm (temporary) runoff from the territory of a large city in the south of the Far East by the example of Khabarovsk. Standard formulae for runoff calculation and measurement runoff data for the main watercourses of the city are used. The author concludes that the regional formula for calculating the maximal rainfall flood water discharge is preferable for assessment of the storm runoff from an urbanized area in the conditions of the Lower Amur River region. Data, calculation techniques and conclusions can be of interest to specialists involved in engineering-hydrometeorological and engineering-environmental surveys in urban areas.
