Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of the research is to evaluate the contribution of agricultural organizations (AO) included in the integrated formations of various types, functioning as part of the dairy subcomplex of the Leningrad region in the development of rural areas. Methods. A comparative analysis of the level of average monthly wages for the last 3–4 years in the АО, included in the integrated formation of dairy specialization, in rural areas in the Leningrad region; considered indicators of labor productivity, both in monetary and in physical terms, for determination the quality of working conditions and opportunities for expanded production in the studied organizations, as well as increasing due to this tax deductions to the local and regional budget. Results. It is revealed that the studied AO included in the integrated formation of dairy specialization in the Leningrad region have a predominantly positive impact on the development of rural areas in the Leningrad region and there is a possibility of further strengthening the positive effect due to their cooperation with small forms оf оorganizations, such as peasant (farmer) enterprises (P(F)E) and private rural householders (PRH). Over the past 4 years, the growth rate of wages in small and medium-sized dairy farms, which are part of the integrated formations in the Leningrad region, is ahead of the industry average and is gradually approaching the level of wages paid in larger farms with the number of dairy herds of more than 1,000 head. Scientific novelty consists in research and testing of theoretical calculations of scientists concerning a role and character of influence of the integrated formations of various type in dairy subcomplex of the Leningrad region on development of rural arias.
