Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the problems of Korean language majors in Chinese universities and to suggest ways to improve them. It focused on how to cooperate with Korean companies and universities. The study was conducted by classifying and analyzing interviews with professors of Korean language majors at Chinese universities and Korean language majors at Chinese universities studying in Korea. First, it is necessary to closely link with Korean universities to secure excellent professors and acquire doctoral degrees. A Korean university can consider a degree course in a convergence major. It is possible to improve not only the Korean level but also the degree of understanding of Korea, thereby solving the diversity and quality of education. Second, it is to provide opportunities to practice Korean. The poor Korean language practice conditions negatively affect the career path of Korean majors after graduation, so improvement is urgently needed. It supports the connection between companies and this Korean language major. Through this, it is possible to grasp social demand and incorporate it into the curriculum, enabling practical training. It can increase the competitiveness of Korean language majors as it is consistent with China’s educational reform. Third, it is the provision of educational contents. Support for Korean universities and institutions to produce digital textbooks and provide them online, and to use Korean images as textbooks. In reality, it is the best way to learn Korean-style Korean, and it is also a way to establish standards for Korean language education led by Korea. Since it is not only for Chinese students, it can increase the cost-effectiveness.
