Abstract

The objective of this study is to draw the viewing satisfaction factors and viewing constraint factors, targeting the spectators of mixed martial arts competition. For this, this study conducted an online survey through a representative mixed martial arts community in Korea, and the data was collected by using the open-ended questionnaire. The inductive content analysis was used for data analysis. By going through the expert meeting, this study conducted the process of categorization into source data, detailed area, and general area according to the similarity of concept. In the results of conducting the multilateral verification to secure the validity and reliability in this process, the results were drawn as follows. First, total five viewing satisfaction factors in the spectators of mixed martial arts were drawn, which was highly shown in the order of atmosphere satisfaction, match state satisfaction, leisure satisfaction, player satisfaction, and service satisfaction. Second, total five viewing constraint factors in the spectators of mixed martial arts were drawn, which was highly shown in the order of internal constraint, facilities constraint, structural constraint, social constraint, and service constraint.
