Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the belief in the physical education method of elementary school teachers on the autonomous supportive teaching behavior. The study used correlation coefficients. A total of 152 elementary school teachers from 30 elementary schools in G metropolitan city participated in the survey. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 24.0, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correction analysis, ariance analysis, and multiple regression analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis using AMOS 20.0. As a result, efficiency, simplicity, and norm beliefs all showed a positive correlation with elementary school teachers" autonomous supportive teaching behavior. Specifically, it was found that elementary school teachers had a positive influence on autonomous support teaching behavior in physical education class in order of efficiency, norm, and simple belief. These findings can be used as a theoretical basis for physical education and education program development of elementary school teachers, which can be used as a positive advantage for elementary school teachers in physical education class of elementary school.
