Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the prevailing leadership behavior of middle school principals from the point of view of their teachers. The research identified the principals of middle schools of the Karkh Education Directorate (first, second and third) in Baghdad governorate for the academic year 2021-2022. The research sample consisted of (300) teachers and schools, with (150) for each of them selected In a stratified random manner, the researcher used the descriptive approach, either the research tool was buil A measure of leadership behavior with three patterns consisting of (30) items distributed over three domains and five alternatives for correction were developed (always, often, sometimes, rarely, never). The weights for correction reached (5-4-3-2-1) and the researcher verified the indicators of validity and stability of the scale. A set of statistical methods were used, including (one-sample t-test, two independent samples t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha equation, chi-square) Statistical Package for Humanities and Social Sciences (SPSS) was used. Their teachers' point of view, but they differ in terms of leadership styles, and there is no difference in leadership behavior due to the gender variable (males - females).
