Abstract

This study examined the effects of mothers' work-family conflict and daily stress on children's executive function difficulty, and examined the mediating effect of online leisure activities in the relationship between them. For this study 784 panel data of 11th(2018) Panel Study on Korean Children were analysed by correlation analysis, reliability analysis, simple regression analysis and three-step mediation effect analysis. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was found that mothers' work-family conflict had a positive (+) effect on children's executive function difficulty.
 Second, it was found that the mother's daily stress had a positive (+) effect on the children's executive function difficulty. Third, in the effect of mothers' work-family conflict on children's executive function difficulty, the partial mediating effect of online leisure activities was verified. Finally, the partial mediating effect of online leisure activities was verified in the effect of mothers' daily stress on children's executive functions difficulty. In order to develop children's executive function, active intervention to lower the mother's work-family balance conflict and daily stress level is needed and online leisure activities should be used in a positive direction.
