Abstract
The article reveals the features of creative recreational space in big Russian cities, its tourist potential. The authors assume that space for recreation of citizens can simultaneously represent the space for tourism practices. The objects of cultural heritage, being a space of recreational practices of citizens, are used as an object of tourist display. It is concluded that when assessing the tourist potential of the city, as a rule, Russian researchers do not take into account the degree of its creativity. Taking into account the tendencies of development of Russian cities, the inclusion of creativity as a component of tourist potential seems relevant. In many Russian cities all necessary prerequisites for the implementation of tourist potential of creative recreational space have been developed; the interest of citizen in non-traditional forms of recreational activity based on the creative principles is growing.
