Abstract
The article analyzes types of historical atlases of the encyclopedic level. Particular attention is paid to the experience of creating historical atlases in the USSR, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Great Britain, and the USA. The idea to creating the encyclopedic atlas is proposed. This is "Ukrainians in Russia: Historical and Cultural Atlas".
