Abstract
The article is devoted to the sociological analysis of the relevant factors that characterize the specificity of the consciousness of youth as a special social group and determine the nature of youth social behavior, particularly decision making, professional choice. The authors also socio-psychological features that distinguish youth as a special social, demographic and psychological group and note that life puts young people to have to make some critical decisions about the model of the nearest or distant future in the conditions of lack of life experience. Thus, according to the authors, the instability and inconsistency of youth consciousness have an impact on many forms of youth behavior, behavioral choices and activities.
